OK I missed a few pods, but I'm working on it Err, on this one. As this episode is over 4 hours, I won't make it to the older ones. And my condolences for Miss Kitty :'-( Slaughterday - such a killer band, for fans of Gorefest and Obituary. In this cover I clearly hear the connection Carnivore - Type O Negative (cow bell drums ^^) Kosmic Tomb - I hear Nile and Rob Zombie as reference, is that strange? Feto in Fetus - Ministry gone hiphop? Or even gabber?? I skip Virus Inhumanity - clearly I remember Vreid playing Wacken 2006 and Arnhem 2007. It's not like their oldest material, but the third and fourth album... folky, black-ish, but also some melody present Denial of Death - had it been not so fast this would be my brother Alex' subsitute for Amon Amarth. The vocals and guitar soudn resemble Johan Hegg and Co. which I like. So will Alex ^^ Epoch of Morbidity? This could have been a Morbid Angel or Dark Funeral tribute Strangely enough, I also hear Acrostichon vocals [or even Kill Division - a project of former members of Legion of the Damned, God Dethroned and Inhume] Images of Eden - Rhapsody, Extreme, Savatage? Mentalist - a bit too melodic for me, especially the vocals Battlesword - nice cross between latter Amon Amarth and Ensiferum. For my brother Kreator - best song of the 'cast

Happy Shocktober #Horde! In episode #188 i go back and give more thoughts on the VS episode on That Phat Samurai Guy's channel with the battle between Mario Bava's "Black Sunday and Dario Argento's "Suspiria". Was the clash between these classics worth the price of admission? We all know where the Noobsman leaned right? Then, staying on the topic of Argento i review and discuss his brand new film "Dark Glasses". Does the film stay true to Argento's style and flair or was it a miss completely? And finally, i go through an article on wearethepit.com where they discuss the top 10 bands where the lead singer was replaced and still found success as a band. Angra- Kashmir (Led Zeppelin Cover) DJ Anubis- Intro Venom Inc- Come to Me Razor- Off My Meds Hellwitch- Torture Chamber Gohrgone- Storm of Defeat Aenaon- Mantledeath Sceptic- Fate in My Hand Lamb of God- Ditch Blind Illusion- Slow Death Amorphia- Death Machines Christian Death- Rise and Shine Lord Elephant- Cosmic Awakening Pt II Freedom Hawk- We All Need Rock n Roll Queensryche- Sicdeth Ethel the Frog- Fire Bird Wednesday 13- Good Day to Be a Bad Guy Acid Witch- The Sleeper Disembowelment- Your Prophetic Throne of Ivory Megalith Levitation- Last Vision Selenoplexia- I Have Already Begun to Decompose Writhing- Concealed Within the Soil Escuela Grind- All if Forgiven From the Vastland- The Crowned of Oshidarn Bathory- The Return of Darkness and Evil Goatwhore- The Bestowal of Abomination metaltavernradio.com/hordes-of-chaos-feat-dj-anubis-episode-188/

Horns up #Horde! In this episode i review an article that discusses the impact that true crime series, movies, and media coverage has on people. Does it really impact us badly? Or does it keep us informed and aware of the real life monsters among us? I also give my review of "The Prey" starring Nick Chinland, Danny Trejo, Adrian Paul, and Kevin Grevioux. Did this new monster movie satisfy the beast within me or was it a miss? Find out in this episode. And finally i take a shot and watch the horror anthology "Bad Candy" which stars a certain metal vocalist as a radio DJ. Seeing how i love 2015's "Tales of Halloween" and 2007's "Trick r Treat" does this film live up to those standards and if so where does it rank among my favorites? Podridao- Devil Worship (Sabbat Cover) DJ Anubis- Intro Graceless- Giants Acephalix- Abyssal Rotborn- Condemned Coldworld- Soundtrack to Isolation Kruzifix- Serpent Eye Outrage- Got to Hell Stratovarius- Broken Kaledon- Life or Death Helloween- Save Us Teramaze- Gold Psychlona- Jetplane Bonham- Wait for You Van Halen- Dance the Night Away Seducer- The Heist Ayreon- To the Solar System Autopsy- Born in Blood Messiah- Akasha Chronicle Chemical Breath- Chambers of Lost Snipers of Babel- Properties of Terror Autophagy- Beneath the Moss, Between the Roots Turbo- Berud's Sword Realms of Death- Tombs Convulsis- Servants of the Abyss Sodom- Among the Weirdcong metaltavernradio.com/hordes-of-chaos-feat-dj-anubis-episode-189/

haha this is the Japanese Sabbat, right? I wouldn't mind if any band would cover the English Sabbat once I like this song GRACELESS - friggin'killer new album, this is one of my favorite tracks of it. That basssssss line \m/ Acephalix - they remind me of Mouflon, even though the latter is quite a new band. Good song. Rotborn - the vocals are a bit slammy to me, but the band is tight. As if I suddenly became Dying Fetus fan Coldworld - a cross between old Alcest, old My Dying Bride and ambient. Not for every moment, now was a good time. Kruzifix - Blood Incantation anyone? Wanda loves this! Outrage - what a great cross between the German Poison, Czech Tormentor and Hellhammer \m/ then three power metal songs I didn't have time nor lust for Teramaze - is that an American edition of Loverboy? No, it's heavier and more melodic On my own time: Autopsy, Messiah, Sodom. Yeah!!

Sup #Horde! Its a brand new week and in this week's episode I will give my review of the latest movie "Barbarian" starring Georgina Campbell, Bills Skarsgard, and Justin Long. The movie is being panned as a critical success but is it? Check in as i break down why this could be problematic for me as a movie fan. I also give a review on the Shudder original movie "The Sadness". Although im late to the party viewing this film i came out of it feeling there was a cross between "28 Days Later" and "The Crazies" Is this a good thing or bad? And finally i take another bite at yet another werewolf movie called "I Am Lisa". Did i find some redemption in this film and would i recommend it to other horror fans? Hmmm, guess you will need to check it out my friends to find out. Powerslave - I've played that song/album yellow. Any version is a new piece of territory for metalfans. Classic Exodus - always a pleasure Infiltration - Chris Barnes and Incantation spawned. Pretty cool stuff Anthrax - not their best album by far, but this song goes. I hated the live version on Attack of the Killer B's >< Joey is such a dick there Imprecation - reminds me of the first Dawn of Disease album, the vocal line is nearly exact the same. Pour in some Exhumed as well. Exhumed - Carcass and Haemorrhage aren't far away but they still have a unique sound to themselves. Fan here! Nox Doloris - like old Behemoth, yeah I like this White Skull - in power metal you can't avoid Rhapsody, Saxon and Blind Guardian, so it seems. For their own fans. Liege Lord - I've got their debut album and really like that. This is new to me, even though it's 25 years old. I must have been thrashing to hard back then, now I'll try to find this record \m/ Sahg - I'd expected black metal, not Ghost-like stuff - same with Bloody Hammers Mad Max - already overlooked when they stood on Dynamo Open Air 1986, now I remember why. Dull. Freedom of Fear - Cradle oF meets latter Fear Factory? Orphanage? Interesting. Morbid Stench - beforehand, is it really a cross Pungent Stench - Morbid Angel? Not far from that, slightly more modern. Seance - the cool stuff. You know why I skipped the other songs

Its that time again #Horde! This week Noobs gets a chance to view the Hypocrisy documentary "Hypocrisy, 20 years of Chaos and Confusion". I get a chance to not only learn about the first 2 records with which i never really gave a chance and also tell my meeting Peter Tagtgren at March Metal Meltdown in 2000. Shudder right now has a new series chronicling their top 101 scariest movie scenes. Did i feel the same way they did? Did i agree with all of their choices? Well, i break down my own top 25 scariest horror scenes as i break it all down. And finally, a few weeks back i gave a review of "Bliss of Evil" and you can now hear the audio version of that review. Special thanks to Inverse Records, Metal Devastation Radio, and Grand Sounds Promotion for selected tracks this week. Godflesh - back then it was quite special to have a band combine death/grind with technology and adherent sounds-music-noise. Now I think 'what's the point in making such a copy, with only a hint difference to the original? Don't get me wrong, in the nineties I was quite impressed with Streetcleaner, but the latter material couldn't grab me at all. Sort of 'been there, done that, next please' Good thing: such a version can show what influenced any band and that's nice. Black Royal - thinking of Grave, (early) Fear Factory and some modern death metal I can dig. Or am I too far off mentioning 'just' those? Defleshed - I've heard a lot of positivity about this band, touring again, but missed them on several occasions >< I must check out more, they have a thrashy feel to their death metal. Think of Lamb of God meets LIK meets mid-era Hypocrisy Ahhh there's Hypocrisy instantly. Love this song to bits. So brutal! Those lyrics, hahaha. Overpower - uhm old Anthrax but dirtier? Not bad! Seizure - Dimmu Borgir meets Twisted Sister, nice combination Forbidden - a gem that took +25 years to discover. I never was highly into Forbidden, until Wanda picked them up. Raster Density - fast, technical, modern, sharp. Bananaslama - Pissectomy meets Pig Destroyer, Gutalax and Milking the Goat Machine - for Gorecity ticket holders Goblin Hovel - thanks to YT - genre defying? Buhhhh no 51Peg - I never liked much goth and still don't. This version isn't taking me by the hand either Murnau - Thin Lizzy or Lynyrd Skynyrd, topped with a Smashing Pumpkins sauce in -33 RPM.. a bit too slow for this moment. That CAN change hihihi Void Cruiser - some stoner will pound, some will waggle you to sleep. I can't get hold of the genre much. Morbific - an Impetigo-like logo makes me swirl for bluntness, gasp to put a pillow on a mouth (not especially my own) or start cutting in limbs. Dirty, rusty, ploughing deep death metal. Need more of this. Flesh Shrine - Aborted-worship from the first shred, need to see this live and rethink my opinion on technical stuff Soul Grinder - I hear At The Gates and Batushka with Tägtgren vocal lines and Vader speed (Impressions in Blood-era)

What the hell is happening #Hordemaniacs? In this weeks episode i talk and discuss the movie "Dont Worry Darling" directed by Olivia Wilde and starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. Initially critical and audience scores bombed the film but recently the audience has warmed up to it a bit. Is the film really that bad or is some of the backlash due to behind the scene issues? In music news i talk a little about Dino and the guys from Fear Factory and what they have in store for the future of the band as well as play a remixed track from their new record "Recoded". Everyone knows long time vocalist Burton Bell is gone so will the new guy be able to fill such big shoes? And finally i had a chance to go see "Black Panther: Forever Wakanda" and how the franchise would be able to cope with the loss of Chadwick Boseman who passed away about a year ago. Im going to break it down for you as to why i loved this film and how they did the legacy of both Boseman and Black Panther justice as they took me on an emotional journey. Another week at the Tavern #Horde! This week we welcome back Neko and we revisit not only my feelings but hers on the 2022 movies "Dont Worry Darling" and "Barbarian". Were the movies as good or bad as critics and audiences say? Find out where we stand with both movies and whether or not the hate or love is justified. We also talk a little about the tragedy in Charlottesville, Virginia after the recent shooting deaths of three UVA football players. Is the issue guns or a much deeper problem with mental illness, bullying, etc? And finally Neko and i revisit and discuss the legacy of Metallica's greatest album "Master of Puppets". Find out why this album is so amazing and has stood the test of time even to go as far as to say its a progressive record? Hmmmmm.
