Yea yea, i know. Its tedious for some people and people are free not to participate in that particular forum if they wish. However, if you do choose to start a thread on a particular band there are some rules that must be followed in that forum. If you are just recommending a band than simply use the "recommendation" thread in the general discussion area. But if you want to let people know more about said band than this is the format you must you in the genres forum. For examples look in the genres various forums for help on how it should look. Thanks for all your help.
1) Photo of band. (Insert picture feature)
The image used must be no smaller than 500x500 and no larger than 700x700 (or within that range). Must be a picture of the band as logos are not necessary here.
2) Band information. (Insert quote feature)
Use can use any site you wish to copy and paste band information but you MUST put where you got the information from at the top of the information you are about to copy and paste. This will save us the hassle of any site complaining that we are using their information. I find that Last FM is a great source of band information to draw from.
3) Website/Facebook links.
You can add as many links to the band as you wish. I usually just go with 2 with the bands website and their facebook page.
4) Videos. (Insert video feature) (USE MEDIUM)
When you make your initial post about a band who does not already have a thread please limit the videos to 2 only and if possible use official videos by the band. Do NOT use full album videos in your initial posts. If you want to add those type of videos in the comments after the initial post that is fine. If for some reason there are no official videos than just pick two tracks from the band.

**If for whatever reason there is not enough information on a band you are posting about than just add as much info as you can and then we can edit it later on if the band eventually gets more information about them**
