I always loved these when they were done so this would be as good as of place as any to post them from the other forum.
Welcome to the Metal Introspective. Throughout time man has ventured onward, braving great risks and overcoming the worst of odds. Though the journey is long and fierce, the glory and valor is worth every tug of effort. To conquer new ground we must look back and see the ruinous waste left behind, the roads journeyed and the lands of old once roamed.
We take a look at the heavy metal teddy bear, Noobs.

From where and whence did your crawl out of your mother?
Born in Ft. Worth Texas in 1970. Lived in Colorado for 18 years before moving out to Baltimore, Md in 1991. I am 39 years old.
Any white whales?
Currently my ambitions are to try and be the best husband that i can and to hopefully some way open up my own business where i will have 3 different options for local metal fans and bands. By this i mean owning my own label, owning a club/bar that will be used for concerts ala Sonar and Jaxx. And to have a record store catering to the rock/metal minded without all the pop culture involved. Missy and i have talked about this for a while but if it ever transpires i cannot say. But that is truly my ambition.
What makes you stiff?
Obviously my wife, but beautiful women in general are a turn on. I honestly believe that the best form of art on this planet is the woman's body involving every feature including the eyes which can be at times hypnotic. Is there any doubt why Adam ate from the apple? lol
What makes you softer than Def Leppard?
Close mindedness, elitism, racism, lack of loyalty.
When was your metal birth?
I've been into metal since at least 1987. I was 17 then and although I had been listening to stuff like Motley Crue, Ratt, Wasp, Van Halen, etc it wasn't until I discovered albums like "Master of Puppets", "Under the Influence", and "So Far, So Good, So What" that i engaged myself into the heavier material. For me its always been a gradual escalation into heavy metal as time has gone on. While some older metal fans regress back to the softer stuff i actually got into the heavier stuff as time has gone on.
How long have you been at MRU?
I've been at MRU since its creation.
Bands that make you blow chunky loads?
Currently they are Strapping Young Lad/Devin Townsend, Type O Negative, Stormlord, Fear Factory (classic), Sepultura (classic), Ayreon, Enslaved, Sig:Ar:Tyr, The Meads of Asphodel, Lay Down Rotten,.......just to name a few.
Bands that give you musical shrinkage?
To be perfectly honest i really don't think about bands I don't care for. Would i say that there are bands that are average or ho-hum? Sure, but there would be too many to name and quite frankly just not worth the effort. Even for the ones that i could name I don't listen or hear them enough to care. lol
How do you earn your bread?
Currently, i work at Comcast as a CAE II. I do IP Support for all 3 phases of the companies Video, Audio, and Computer factions.
What made you want to work on a glorious metal forum?
Ive always had a interest on working or being involved with discussion forums. When i first came across Metalforums i thought it would be a good idea to try and learn how to deal with the duties and responsibilities of moderating. I approached Dennis on MF and with his recommendation got signed on. After MF went down i was privileged and honored when Dennis asked me to Co-Admin with him when he created MRU. And after a bit of time when i had to step away from those duties i now find myself back in the lineup to give a helping hand anyway i can and to keep order if needed. Considering MRU is well managed the latter is seldom used if at all.
Who would you want to smack in the eggsack?
Who would i want to kick in the nuts? Hmmm, at this moment probably Michael Moore because he is without a doubt the biggest douche on the planet.
Metal Introspective?
I feel honored to be among the early entries to the "metal introspective". I think at times I can go misunderstood because i have a tendency to open my mouth before thinking. Im a passionate person about a great many things. However, I'm not a fanatic in the sense that im going to lay down in the middle of the street or get in a riot to prove my point.
What is your fascination with Pussy and Egyptian Mythology?
Cant really say where my fascination with Egyptian mythology started but I've loved cats in general since i was very young. Never had the same devotion to dogs (although i do like them) as i have with cats. Maybe its the independent and arrogant nature of the cats that draws my admiration. Also, their history with the Egyptians with the lore surrounding Bastet is fascinating to me as well. Its also a major reason i went with the screen name of another Egyptian god in Anubis for so long. Throw in the whole Egyptian hieroglyphics with connections with alien lifeforms and i think you have found your answer. There are a great many mysteries of the world and Egyptian mythology is just one of them.
What has been your greatest concert event ever attended?
To this date nothing has really ever beaten seeing Judas Priest and Megadeth in 90' during the "Painkiller" tour at McNichols Arena in Denver, Co. The next would probably be "Clash of the Titans" at Red Rocks but to be honest i was tripping on acid at the time so some things may be a bit blurry memory wise. lol But i did gain a new found respect for Layne Staley and AIC that day as they showed no fear of a very angry metal crowd throwing things at them on stage.
Who in your lifetime thus far have you met that was a celebrity or idol?
When i was about 10-11 i actually met Chuck Norris while he was filming "A Force of One". I also met my football hero John Elway in 85' while attending a local high school football game. As far as music idols are concerned I've met the likes of Peter Tagtgren, Robert Trujillo, Mike Muir, Devin Townsend, Gene Hoglan, as well as a few others in the past years. Obviously DT was a highlight for me but as you can never predict how one will behave when meeting your favorite musician or idol i had no words for DT and acted like a fanboy wanting a autograph. lol
Any final thoughts?
My final thought would be that no matter how old i get i will always be a metalhead. I think that is what separates us from most casual listeners. Either metal music is in your blood or it isn't and i don't believe in the idea that you can just wake up one day and not be a metal fan anymore. If that happens than you were a casual fan to begin with in my opinion. As many on this site can attest too i am very opinionated and hard headed. I at times let my emotions get the best of me and my temper (aries blood) flares and it seems like i hate everyone. Nah, as i said. I'm just passionate about a lot of things and although i do feel I'm scaled back more than i was 10 years ago when i first started posting on metal forums across the net i still want my say on certain topics. But when it comes to MRU you all are my family. Even the newbies that come on here and start to grow and lead us into a new decade you are all very respected and loved by me. Not just because you are on this forum but because of what you represent as a individual in the metal nation across the globe.
Although i may have rubbed some of you wrong at times because of my stubbornness make no mistake i would gladly stand next too you in a brawl or help you out in a time of need if at all possible. As time marches on i often think about my own mortality as i get older and i realize i cant do the things i used too without waking up with a sore neck or my feet and knees killing me. Never the less, whether I've met you or not your all important to me and my life on this earth and i would be a lesser man for never having gotten to know you all on here. When i look at a lot of you that have such great talents whether it be art, musical ability, computer expertise, or creating clothes I cannot help stand in amazement at how great you all are. I truly have no such talent and the best this old guy can do and offer is just his desire and knowledge on the very music that we all share and love. I am very proud of all of you and consider you the greatest friends of all. Don't ever let anyone tell you different.
Who will be next for the metal introspective? Who will it be? Nobody knows... til next time!!!
